Automated Outdoor Video

Ray will help us to communicate our unique intelligent video technology to A&E and design-build firms, emphasizing its practical value for securing outdoor areas of all sizes.

SightLogix® announces a new initiative among architects and engineers (A&E) to promote awareness of the company’s automated outdoor video systems for area and perimeter security. The SightLogix program will assist A&E consultants with training, design and comprehensive specification documents for turning SightLogix’ intelligent video surveillance technology into practical solutions.

Leading the new A&E program for SightLogix is Ray Coulombe, principal consultant at Gilwell Technology Services. Mr. Coulombe recently retired from Cisco where he promoted understanding of new physical security technologies in support of industry consultants, standards organizations and other industry groups. Throughout his career, Mr. Coulombe has demonstrated an impressive capability for translating emerging technology into successful solutions, yielding high levels of ROI for the physical and transportation market. Mr. Coulombe has previously been involved in founding and developing six startup companies, five of which were later acquired, including networked video provider SyPixx Networks, Inc., acquired by Cisco. He has a Master's degree in Information Technology (networking) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Hartford, CT. He has also recently earned the Cisco CCNA Security certification.

“We are excited to have Ray Coulombe provide his thought leadership in support of our outdoor video technology to the A&E community,” said John Romanowich, President and CEO, SightLogix. “Ray will help us to communicate our unique technology to A&E and design-build firms, emphasizing its practical value for outdoor areas of all sizes.”

In addition to increasing awareness and education, the SightLogix A&E program provides design assistance and specification documents to ensure proper application of SightLogix technology into project designs. The program will also encompass on-site lunch-and-learn seminars for A&E consultants, online Webinars, and the availability of a variety of resources, such as whitepapers, via the SightLogix website. SightLogix also provides SightSurvey™, an intuitive, web-based tool for quick and effective security designs. To learn more, visit http://www.sightlogix.com/design_support.html.

“I have known SightLogix for several years and have been continually impressed by their people and their technology,” said Mr. Coulombe. “The technology is cutting edge as it relates to the outdoor perimeter environment and addresses the most common issues encountered in designing a perimeter security system. It employs video analytics and geo-tracking in unique ways, and I welcome the opportunity to increase the visibility of SightLogix among the A&E community.”

Recognized as a leader in intelligent video surveillance systems that provide a solid return on investment, SightLogix' combination of edge-based video analytics, long and wide area coverage and geo-spatial target tracking have been deployed around the world to meet the critical security needs of the transportation, energy, utility, chemical, information technology, public safety and defense industries.
