In a move that capitalizes on the power of social networking, Seize the Day, Inc., today announced the launch of its “Biggest Fan” contest on Facebook, designed specifically for people who have purchased tickets to attend one of the upcoming Seize the Day seminars to be held in either Columbus, OH, or Atlanta, GA.
The “Biggest Fan Contest” allows people who have purchased Seize the Day tickets to compete for one of 10 backstage passes to meet the celebrity speaker of their choice.
To enter to win, ticket purchasers must post a message on the Seize the Day Facebook Wall, explaining which speaker is their favorite speaker and why they would like to meet him or her in person. Participants are then urged to tell their friends to “like” their Wall post. Winners are selected from a pool of participants who have generated the highest numbers of “likes” on their Wall posts.
Seize the Day contest rules encourage participants to be creative. Participants can tell stories, share experiences, post photos or even create custom videos to “make their case” as to why they want to meet a particular speaker. The goal is to motivate friends and visitors to click the “Like” button next to their post.
In addition, each Wednesday the participant with the most creative and meaningful Wall post will be eligible to claim additional prizes, including a Kindle, iPad, digital camera, flat screen TV, PC laptop and iPod Touch.
Multiple submissions are allowed. Winners will be announced on the Seize the Day Facebook page before each seminar. Winners must attend the event to receive their prize.
The Columbus Seize the Day seminar will be held at the Schottenstein Center on October 6, 2010. The Atlanta seminar will be held at Philips Arena on November 9, 2010. Tickets are on sale now for both events.
Speakers for both seminars feature a diverse selection of America’s foremost success experts, including: former First Lady Laura Bush, former NFL star and sportscaster Terry Bradshaw, cable news legend Bill O’Reilly, actor and commentator Ben Stein, Susan G.
