Fresh off the endorsement of influential health food icon John Mackey (Whole Foods Market CEO and Founder), rising health author, J. Michael Zenn, recently appeared live on CBS News. Nearly 1 million viewers watched as he talked about his new book, The Self Health Revolution. A book which has also been endorsed by Harvey Diamond, author of Fit For Life, one of the best selling health books of all time. This new breed of health gurus sold out of books within hours of his appearance.

Zenn proclaims that he is no guru, just an average guy who after watching his father die prematurely at age 57 and seeing his own health decline at age 40, decided he was going to do something about it. His search led him to discover some common-sense wisdom that he says saved his life from chronic-illness, obesity and possibly premature death.

He says his book is "not really for health nuts" but a small, easy-to-read and understand guide for ordinary people that simply tells the story of why one third of our nation is now chronically ill, diabetic, or obese and why half of all men and a third of women are now getting cancer.

Zenn claims that the problem is that our food is not what it used to be. He says, "It's not the food grandmom and granddad ate. Our food is full of chemicals that make us sick, tired and fat...like female hormones that are given to animals to make them 40% fatter and when we eat them...we get 40% fatter." Zenn exclaims, "You are what you eat...eats" and warns that we better know what the vegetables and the animals we are eating have been eating.

Zenn gives the reader 3 simple things to do each day for 15 minutes to turn their health around. He calls it the 10-day challenge.
