High impact training is made possible by the smaller class size. The number of participants for each SEO Workshop is limited to 7 persons to facilitate higher interaction between the participants and trainer, and among participants.

MyWebCulture, an online marketing training and consultancy firm based in Singapore, conducted its first SEO training course in 2013 on January 24 and 25 to a small group consisting of web designer, project manager and marketing professionals.

The SEO Workshop is a high-impact small group SEO training that focuses on hands-on practicals and case studies. The objective of the SEO training is to equip participants with the knowledge of best practices in search engine optimization and practical experience in making a website search engine friendly. In addition to traditional lecture style learning on search ranking and the fundamentals of search engine optimization, more time has been allocated to discussions, practical exercises and case study of "live" websites.

The number of participants for each SEO Workshop is limited to 7 persons to facilitate higher interaction between the participants and trainer, and among participants," said Shi Heng Cheong, principal trainer with MyWebCulture. "The training is organized into modules and there are either written exercises or verbal questioning to encourage discussion at the end of each module."

One of the participants, Alvis Lim, commented, "The trainer shared many of his experiences that is very valuable to me."

During the two-day training, a broad range of topics were covered: from web usability to analytics to social media marketing, on top of the regular search engine optimization topics such as keyword research, site structure, content optimization, link building and SEO audit.

A web designer with a local events management company, John C. Leonardo, said, "I learned the basics of SEO. Definitely be useful in my work."
