Our goal is to help each of our customers design print-ready files that don't require a lot of extra prepress work
Duluth, MN (Vocus) October 2, 2009
With unemployment rates hitting 15% in some states, one Minnesota printer has actually been hiring and expanding their services. Service Printers in Duluth has seen growth by investing in people and technology.
"We're building our online print center and expanding our mailing services," said Dean Casperson, President of Service Printers. "We're building. We're investing." The company has customers all over the country, including Los Angeles and Manhattan, and is expecting to expand their client base through their new online printing service.
The new Print Center is designed to streamline their operations, passing the savings on to their customers. "Our customers can upload their own files and place their order online," said Megan Stanton, Manager of the Online Print Center. "The customer also has the ability to see an online proof of their project throughout the ordering process."
One recent customer said, "I placed an order for business cards on a Thursday night and they were ready the next morning! The service was great and my cards looked wonderful."
Service Printers also offers templates online. "Our goal is to help each of our customers design print-ready files that don't require a lot of extra prepress work," explains Stanton.
The new storefront offers Service Printers another unique advantage: they are able to build additional customized print centers for other businesses, like hotels, hospitals and franchises. "These sites are branded with the company's logo and images so it will feel as if the print center is an extension of their own website," said Stanton.
