Even with the challenging economy in 2009, organizations continued to invest in CorasWorks because they saw immediate business value from our innovations on the Microsoft SharePoint platform.

CorasWorks Corporation, a leading provider of applications and application development software for Microsoft SharePoint, today announced a strong performance in the fourth quarter of 2009 by signing contracts with major corporations and federal customers worldwide.

“Even with the challenging economy in 2009, organizations continued to invest in CorasWorks because they saw immediate business value from our innovations on the Microsoft SharePoint platform,” said Gary Voight, President and CEO of CorasWorks. “We are particularly delighted with the success of our App Store. Apps have driven many of these customers to CorasWorks, which has also led to a surge in the number of AppPublishers building plug-and-play applications for the App Store. We also continue to develop our own apps, like Project Portfolio Management, Department Dashboard, Work Order Approval and others. Combine these with the power, flexibility and continual improvement to our underlying application development system, and you see why companies continue to invest in CorasWorks. We drive real business value on the platform.”

CorasWorks’ fourth quarter customer wins include organizations such as Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia, Broadway Across America, City of Redmond, Clyde & Co US LLP, County of Camden, Curtiss-Wright Flow Control, Dimension Millworks, Inc., El Camino Hospital, Hilcorp Energy Company, INDUS Corporation, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Orange County Fire Authority, Pan American Health Organization Inc., Pfizer PMG, Scarborough Capital Management, Inc., State of Oregon Department of Health and Human Services, Strategic Investment Group, Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., Weill Cornell Medical College, and Wellpoint, Inc.

CorasWorks also was awarded business from numerous U.S. Federal clients during the quarter, including Offices in the US Army, US Department of Justice, and US Department of State.

CorasWorks is best known for its Modular Application Development System, an application development system that has been deployed in more than 1,000 enterprises worldwide. The system enables organizations to design, build and manage applications in SharePoint without the costs and complexity of custom code development.

Since September 2009, CorasWorks has been increasingly known for its App Store for SharePoint and the many plug-and-play, “ready-for-work” applications that can be downloaded and readily installed.
