The U.S. Army has been a tremendous supporter and customer of CorasWorks for many years
Knoxville, TN (Vocus) April 9, 2010
CorasWorks Corporation, a leading provider of applications and application development software for Microsoft SharePoint, today announced that both its Workplace Suite and Toolset products were awarded a Certificate of Networthiness (CoN) by the U.S. Army under the sponsorship of the Army Training & Doctrine Command (TRADOC) at Ft. Monroe, Va.
The certificates, which are required for all external software deployed on the U.S. Army's networks, signifies that the CorasWorks Workplace Suite and Toolset exceed U.S. Army requirements for reliability, security, architecture and integration with the Army's existing IT infrastructure. It also allows the Suite and Toolset to be listed as approved applications on the Army Knowledge Online (AKO) website.
“The U.S. Army has been a tremendous supporter and customer of CorasWorks for many years,” said Gary Voight, President and CEO of CorasWorks. “This certification, along with the fact that our products already run on classified networks such as SIPRNET, ClassNet and JWICS, puts CorasWorks in a strong position to capture additional Department of Defense and military business.”
The CorasWorks Workplace Suite is a wizard-driven application development tool that makes it easier to design, build and manage applications on SharePoint. The Toolset is code based and allows more technical users to enhance, extend and integrate their SharePoint applications. The two products combine to form the CorasWorks Application Development System, which has been deployed in more than 1,000 enterprises worldwide.
In addition to the Suite and Toolset, CorasWorks also offers plug-and-play business applications for SharePoint. These applications are built by CorasWorks and its application publisher partners and are available through the online CorasWorks App Store.
