"We are pleased to have Bart join the Drexel Metals team. His tremendous level of industry knowledge and experience will prove invaluable as we continue to grow Drexel Metals into an industry leader,” said Rob Waite, CEO of Drexel Metals.
As part of Mr. Roggensack’s role on the Board of Directors, he will be providing strategic direction and working to expand the Drexel Metals Association of Regional Manufacturers (DM-ARM), a value-added partnership that allows contractors and distributors to achieve higher profit margins while providing a superior quality, energy efficient, and warranty protected Drexel Metals-branded metal roofing system.
"The Drexel Metals DM-ARM is one of the most innovative and exciting business strategies in the industry," said Roggensack. "I am excited to be affiliated with a company that focuses on helping building products suppliers and end-customers install energy efficient and weather resistant roofing solutions. Drexel Metal's customer partnership program will enable a step-function increase in the adoption of standing seam metal roofing systems."
“Bart was instrumental in helping us evaluate the broader roofing industry and the value Drexel Metals provides throughout the roofing supply chain," said Karl Khoury of Arborview Capital. “We look forward to Bart’s insights and strategic guidance as a member of the Drexel Metals team.”
Mr. Roggensack brings more than 40 years of experience over a distinguished career spanning various segments of the roofing industry. During his 33 year career at Johns Manville, Mr. Roggensack was a member of the senior management team that acquired Owens Corning’s Commercial Roofing Group and nine other businesses, creating the largest commercial/industrial roofing company in North America. As part of his responsibilities with Johns Manville, Mr. Roggensack helped drive operating efficiencies with a specific emphasis on manufacturing systems. In 2001, he was a member of the senior management team that executed the sale of Johns Manville to Berkshire Hathaway.
Following his career at Johns Manville, Mr. Roggensack was the President and CEO of General Roofing, a consolidation of 23 roofing contractor businesses. Within two years, he successfully restructured General Roofing and sold it to Tecta America, creating the largest roofing contractor company in the U.S. He is the past President of the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association (ARMA) and was a member of the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) and the Single Ply Roofing Institute (SPRI).
