The Palm Springs new home market is doing well again after a multi-year pause. New home developers in several Palm Springs area cities have re-launched construction of new homes that had been on hold. Several luxury golf communities have also increased their production of new construction homes.

“There always seems to be a market for new homes and the continuing decrease in resale home inventory in cities throughout the Palm Springs real estate market is once again fueling demand for new homes in the desert,” Sheri Dettman said. “One recent example is Stonefield Estates a development of luxury homes in southwest Indio. After building nine new luxury homes, construction at Stonefield was paused until just this past summer. Now the first of 31 new luxury homes priced from the $700’s to $900’s is nearing completion.”

New Luxury Home Market From $600K to $2 Million Very Active
New construction homes are also being offered in several Palm Springs area golf and country club communities including Andalusia Country Club and The Grove at Citrus Golf Club both in La Quinta and Toscana Country Club in Indian Wells. Other new homes opportunities in gated non-golf communities include Escala in Rancho Mirage, Alta in Palm Springs and The Villas of Mirada in Rancho Mirage. Prices in these communities range from the $600’s to about $2 million.

“With 20% fewer homes available on the market this year new construction homes at Stonefield Estates and other communities should be very popular with homebuyers,” Sheri Dettman said. “The expansive home sites at Stonefield Estates average one-half acre in size and the homes include numerous luxury features such as a custom pool/spa, front and rear landscape and a large chef’s kitchen with Wolf and Sub-Zero Professional appliances.
