Dr. Kevin Johnson of Shofner Vision Center in Nashville, TN is a well respected expert in contact lens fitting, prescription glasses and refractive surgery co-management. He also received the US Air Force F-16 "Top Eye" flight certification and was a member of the LASIK/PRK evaluation team. His most recent achievement included completing a 40-week long Air Command course which focused on air, space, cyberspace education and strategic leadership.

Dr. Kevin Johnson is a well respected expert in contact lens fitting, prescription glasses, refractive surgery co-management and is Therapeutics Board Certified to treat and manage ocular diseases. He also received the US Air Force (USAF) F-16 "Top Eye" flight certification and was a member of the USAF Fighter Pilot LASIK/PRK Evaluation Team. In addition to Dr. Kevin Johnson’s career at Shofner Vision Center, Major Johnson continues his military career in the USAF Reserves by completing a 40-week Air Command course on March 7, 2012 which focused on air, space and cyberspace education. Upon completion, Dr. Stewart Shofner of Shofner Vision Center commented, “We are all very pleased that Dr. Johnson is continuing his career in the Air Force Reserves by completing this very rigorous training.”

USAF Air Command Course
Located at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, AL, the Air Command and Staff College (ACSC) course educates majors and civilian equivalents in areas related to critical thinking and effective communication. The ACSC focuses on delivering air, space and cyberspace education and preparing the world's best joint strategic leaders. Students are educated on the profession of arms, air power history, international security, the requisites of command, the nature of war and the application of air, space and cyberspace power at the operational level of war through nine major courses. More than 480 students graduate annually and 11,000 students enroll in its distance learning program.
