Oakland, CA (PRWEB) November 17, 2011
Families will have a blast on November 26th, 2011. From 3 to 6 pm, children can play in the snow and experience pony rides while parents support local businesses by shopping local on the Avenue. This event is brought to by the Oakland Rockridge District Association and members as a thank you to our neighbors and customers, hoping you all have a wonderful holiday season.
There will be holiday music to enjoy and Rockridge in the Snow will feature the one of the BART redwood tree decked out in new LED lights. Refreshments by merchants will be available for purchase and enjoyed during the entertainment.
Donations for Toys for Tots and one warm coat will be of great help and collection bins available.
Rockridge will be holding the Holiday Jazz and Wine Stroll Friday, December 9th. College Avenue merchants will be open from 5- 8 p.m. Top jazz musicians of the Bay Area will be playing live as customers stroll through the boutiques, stores, restaurants and art galleries. Look for refreshments as you visit many of our merchants.
Holidays are always the time for giving, so give the family a great time. Shopping locally is not only fun but also benefits the local community in general. For each dollar spent in the Oakland Shopping District, 60 cents of that dollar stays within the community.
