The Food Standards Agency has welcomed the decision by price comparison website mySupermarket.co.uk to use traffic light labelling to enable shoppers to compare the nutritional value of products at four online UK supermarkets.
The online Health Checker uses the Food Standards Agency approved 'traffic light' system to allow mySupermarket shoppers to see at a glance if the food they plan on putting into their trolley is high, medium or low in salt, fat, saturated fats or sugars.
mySupermarket.co.uk director Johnny Stern said, "Our aim is to give shoppers the clearest possible information on the products they buy to help them make quicker, smarter shopping choices.
