Named as Judges for eBillme™ Shopping
Confessions Contest
eBillme assembles an all-star team of judges and introduces a
revamped Web site as the grand prize winner selection draws near
WILMINGTON, Del. (Business Wire EON/PRWEB ) September 25, 2008 --
Secret shoppers still have time to come clean and be eligible to win
$15,000 from eBillme,
the only alternative payment option that leverages online banking for
eCommerce checkout. Just as eBillme transactions do not require the
release of any personal information and appear anonymously on banking
statements, the
eBillme Shopping Confessions Contest was launched as an
opportunity for consumers to reveal purchases they have kept hidden from
friends, family, and loved ones. The official judging panel has been
selected, and there are now new ways for participants to submit
confessions before the contest deadline, Dec. 26.
iJustine,
new media star, connoisseur of all things Internet, and one of the first “lifecasters;”
Gary Vaynerchuk, Host of Wine
Library TV.com; Bill
Rancic, entrepreneur, “Apprentice”
winner, and currently the host of “We Mean
Business” on A&E Network; and Ann Handley,
Chief Content Officer of MarketingProfs,
will join Marwan Forzley, President and CEO of eBillme, as this year’s
contest judges. Submissions will be judged on a number of criteria,
including creativity, originality, and entertainment. Each judge has
revealed his or her own shopping
confession by video. And, making a special return appearance, is
last year’s grand
prize winner, Natalie Kroc, and her fiancé
featured in her winning video, Chris Hong. They check in with a video of
their own for participants providing contest details and advice for
creating a winning submission.
A new contest Web site, also revealed today, introduces message boards
and forums for consumers to discuss submissions and gives participants
even more opportunities to enter. In addition to video and written
submissions, contestants can now also submit photos. eBillme will be
accepting single photos along with a caption or a slideshow of photos.
The photos should depict a shopping confession, and will be judged on
similar criteria to the video and written confessions, including
creativity, originality, and how well the photos convey a story.
“We are thrilled to welcome Bill, Gary,
Justine, and Ann as contest judges, and look forward to the creativity
and expertise that each will bring to the judging process,”
says Marwan Forzley, President and CEO of eBillme. “As
we search for the biggest secret shoppers, we continue to receive
original and entertaining written and video confessions, and we
encourage those who have not yet confessed to get submissions in to be
eligible for the grand prize. We decided to give shoppers yet another
way to confess their shopping secrets, this time with photos, and we are
looking forward to the opportunity to judge the creative ways people can
express themselves and tell a story in pictures, video, and words.”
Each month, eBillme selects a $1,000 video winner and $500 written or
photo winner. All participants are eligible for the $15,000 grand prize.
eBillme has chosen and awarded a total of 15 winners since the contest
was re-launched in 2008. Winning confessions include a tale
of sticky fingers, an April tax
refund confession, and a poker
table purchase gone wrong. A full listing of contest winners can be
seen by visiting http://tinyurl.com/4ftuxr.
To qualify, participants must upload their entries to eBillme’s
YouTube
Shopping Confessions channel and complete the contest entry form at
the Shop
and Confess Web site. Short stories and photos must be submitted
electronically to www.ShopAndConfess.com.
The contest closes on the last day of each calendar month, at 12
midnight EST, for contestants to be considered for that month’s
prize. The final contest deadline is Dec. 26. Winners will be contacted
and announced the following month. Participation is open to all
residents of the U.S. and Canada. Contestants can submit multiple
entries. To learn more and for complete contest rules, terms, and
conditions, please visit www.ShopAndConfess.com.
