People are social outside of Facebook and we wanted businesses to be able to use our powerful tools anywhere they wanted.

ShortStack has announced an external embed feature that allows users to embed their custom apps on websites outside of Facebook. Businesses and individuals can now “ShortStack Anywhere” using the custom Facebook app designer to increase Page likes and fan engagement.
“People are social outside of Facebook and we wanted businesses to be able to use our powerful tools anywhere they wanted.” Jim Belosic, CEO of ShortStack said. “With external embedding, businesses can connect with their customers and fans other places on the web, and people can participate in apps, contests, and data collection beyond Facebook.”
ShortStack’s external embed feature requires that a user first installs the app on Facebook, and then they are able to install the same app, including all of its functions, on any web URL such as their blog or company website.
Businesses can adjust the height and width of a custom app to better suit their web page, and can restrict the app from being embedded on any additional web sites that have not been approved. External embed is similar to ShortStack’s mobile feature, which brings the app outside of the Facebook platform but still allows users to interact with the app as if they were viewing it on a Facebook Page. Currently, the external embed feature is available to ShortStack users who are on a paid plan of $75 a month or higher. ShortStack’s plans begin at free for users who have less than 2,000 Facebook fans, and run up to $300 a month depending on number of fans and the features businesses are looking for.
