“We simply grow into markets that demonstrate a need for our products and scale back from less responsive sectors, while constantly re-assessing our customers’ needs,” says Arnon Rosan, President & CEO of Signature Systems Group, LLC.

Arnon Rosan, President and CEO of Signature Systems Group, LLC (formerly Signature Fencing & Flooring Systems, LLC) was honored by the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce Thursday, November 3 at their annual MCC Business Awards Breakfast. Crain’s New York publisher Jill Kaplan presented Mr. Rosan with the Global Business of the Year Award in recognition of Signature’s impressive growth and success in exporting despite an increasingly tumultuous global market.

Signature Systems Group is a world leader in the manufacture and sale of modular flooring and fencing systems for event and industrial applications, as well a temporary roadways and access matting systems used for energy exploration, humanitarian relief efforts, and large scale construction projects. The broad diversity of their catalogue is one of the elements Rosan credits with his company’s apparent recession-proof success. “Whether you find yourself at a trade show, red carpet event in Hollywood, stadium rock concert, dance competition, natural gas exploration site, or Haiti relief camp, you are probably standing on or behind a Signature product. Because we manufacture our own products, we are afforded the flexibility to adjust our production and sales efforts to the ever-changing needs of the market,” says Rosan. “We simply grow into markets that demonstrate a need for our products and scale back from less responsive sectors, while constantly re-assessing our customers’ needs.”

Prior to founding Signature Fencing and Flooring Systems, Mr. Rosan was a founder and Managing Partner of Highland Products Group and the founder and President of Portafloor. In each of the businesses he has been involved with, Mr. Rosan has taken an active approach to developing export markets for the products it manufactures, growing sales of exported product to over 20% of Signature’s overall revenue and over 25% of Portafloor’s revenue. Mr. Rosan has participated in the Export to Japan Study Program, the Department of Commerce Gold Key Service, and other export related initiatives.

This has been a banner year for Signature Systems Group, who also received the Presidential “E” Award for Exports from the U.S. Department of Commerce, as well as the MCC’s Export Achievement Award at their annual World Trade Week Awards earlier this year. The “E” Awards are the highest recognition any U.S. entity may receive for making a significant contribution to the expansion of U.S. exports, but in such an uncertain economy, success is surely its own reward.

Signature Systems Group, LLC is the world’s largest manufacturer of portable fencing and flooring systems for special events and facilities, venues, schools, municipalities, military operations, drilling and construction companies and emergency-relief agencies. Based in New York City, Signature continues to expand its offerings with permanent flooring for sports facilities, portable and permanent dance floors, and a unique line of designer vinyl tiles. Signature’s products are available worldwide directly and through a network of dealers, distributors and agents.
