SIGNiX, the leading provider of enterprise class solutions for executing critical documents immediately and securely online, today announced that John Harris has joined as Director of Product Management. Going forward, Harris will focus on rigorously tying customer needs, industry trends, and technology innovations to specific product requirements, while also contributing to the company’s marketing efforts and increasing profitability by driving a product strategy that enhances SIGNiX’s leadership position.
“By bringing John onboard at SIGNiX, we now have a tremendous opportunity to shift into a higher gear and position the company for substantial growth. John brings over 16 years of experience in bringing innovative products to market in a variety of fields including electronic signatures, strong authentication, and enterprise mobility, all of which have immediate bearing on what we do here,” said SIGNiX CEO, Jay Jumper. “John is very well-known and respected in this industry. His relationships and his abilities to grasp ‘the next thing’ and articulate leading-edge products to technical and layman audiences alike will be major assets for the company.”
Most recently, Harris managed Adobe Systems’ broad electronic signature and approval capabilities across a range of client and server-side products, from click-thru approvals to complex digital and certification signatures. He broadened Adobe’s digital certificate trust programs in Adobe® Acrobat® and Reader® to include commercial and government certificates from around the world. Harris also directed efforts to bring Adobe’s enterprise power to bear on smartphones and tablets – technologies that have made a profound impact on user experiences in the past few years. Prior to Adobe, Harris spent 10 years managing biometric, encryption, and strong authentication products at Sony Electronics and Thomson-CSF.
“I’ve worked with brand name companies for years now, but they are often too big to really concentrate on and solve customer issues. I’ve been looking for some time for a way to bring my experiences at companies like Adobe and Sony to bear on an exciting and dynamic firm that is completely focused on solving one customer pain point: making transactions fully electronic by eliminating the last step in the legacy paper process – the wet ink signature. SIGNiX is that company,” Harris said.
Harris continued, “I’m thrilled to join SIGNiX. Electronic signatures are proven to save enterprises time and money, and provide environmental sustainability to boot. SIGNiX stands above the crowd because it allows customers to use high assurance, fully digital certificate-based signatures with strong identity verification, but without the hassle of physical tokens or the common complexities of PKI (public key infrastructure).”
SIGNiX, headquartered in Chattanooga, Tenn., offers a patented digital signature technology that supports automated, paperless processes with a solution that is secure, auditable and compliant with the ESIGN Act, UETA and other relevant U.S. and international laws and regulations. Users can be immediately authenticated online so that documents requiring a signature can be legally executed electronically without the costs, risks, delays or resources of paper processing. This helps increase the speed, accuracy and security of document execution relative to traditional paper and ink-based signatures with no hardware installation or software download required.
