e-SignLive makes the e-signing process as easy as applying pen to paper, while producing even stronger evidence of what took place during the signing process than hand-signed documents - all while streamlining the process, saving you time & money.
Montreal, QC (Vocus/PRWEB) January 13, 2011
Silanis Technology, the electronic signature provider to some of the world’s largest government and financial services organizations, today released a new version of its cloud-based, electronic signing service for IBM LotusLive. e-SignLive™ Version 7.2 further enhances the usability and security of the service by offering even more ways for people to e-sign documents, and then verify signed documents and other information about the electronic signing process.
In addition to supporting a “click-to-sign” e-signing process, Version 7.2 of e-SignLive now enables signers to electronically apply their hand-scripted signatures to documents using their computer mouse, as well as use their fingers or a stylus pen to e-sign on the Apple iPad. These methods more closely resemble the familiar pen and paper process.
Further, signers now have access to more information from which to verify the security and authenticity of the signed document. In addition to being able to check the audit trail and authenticity of e-signed documents via the embedded digital signature, a barcode within the signed document links people to a web page where they can view information about the document and the associated e-SignRoom™, and other relevant information related to the signatures.
“e-SignLive makes the e-signing process as easy as applying pen to paper, while producing even stronger and more verifiable evidence of what took place during the signing process than hand-signed documents - all while streamlining the process, saving you time and money,” said Robert Al-Jaar, Executive Vice-President of Silanis’ Online e-Signature Services.
e-SignLive captures and records the entire web signing process from start to finish; secures it with digital signature technology; and then enables the e-signing process to be accurately reproduced. This includes all web pages and documents that were presented to the participants; how long they spent on each page; and all actions that they took (accept, sign, initial etc.).
Using an iPhone app or BlackBerry reader, the barcode within each e-signed document links that document back to a web page that provides additional information about the e-SignRoom that was used to execute the signing ceremony, such as when the room was created and its current status, which documents and legal disclosures were presented to the participants, and when each person signed.
The link within the barcode can be accessed electronically, as well as in paper format by pointing the camera of one’s cell phone, iPhone or Blackberry along the barcode using any free third-party QR code reader software.
