E-Recording is advantageous to all counties whether they have a population of 500 or 500,000. We value the relationships we have built with counties of all shapes and sizes and our customers who are anxious to see e-recording adoption continue to grow.

Simplifile announced its 900th recording jurisdiction, McLean County, N.D., has started e-recording, a landmark achievement establishing the company’s network coverage in over one quarter of the nation’s counties across 41 states.

“We want to congratulate and thank McLean for being our 900th county and for everyone who has taken part in helping us reach this important milestone,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “E-Recording is advantageous to all counties whether they have a population of 500 or 500,000. We value the relationships we have built with counties of all shapes and sizes and with our customers who are anxious to see e-recording adoption continue to grow.”

Not only does Simplifile have more e-recording counties than any other vendor, but the company also leads the industry in population coverage with its service available in just over 55 percent of total U.S. population.

Simplifile’s e-recording service acts as a liaison between recording jurisdictions and organizations such as title companies and banks that electronically submit land and mortgage documents to counties all over the nation for recording. With Simplifile’s online recording service, customers are able to more quickly, conveniently and cost-effectively send their documents via the Internet instead of having to use the mail, write checks, or travel to the county for manual recording.

“The e-recording process has been very quick and easy. Simplifile has been great to work with,” said Beth A. Knutson, McLean County recorder.

“It’s a win-win for both sides of the recording process and customers are always thrilled with how much faster their documents are recorded,” Clifford said. “In fact, it becomes a burden for many of them to resort back to the traditional submission methods when they need to record with a county that does not offer e-recording.”

Over the past five months, the company has added 100 new recording jurisdictions to its network including 20 Alaska recording districts, 13 Minnesota counties, 10 Texas counties, and four New Jersey counties to name a few.

Simplifile provides free training and 24/7 customer support. For more information about e-recording call 800-460-5657 or visit simplifile.com.
