The Sizzix® Big Shot™ Fabric Starter Kit enables quilting from the start with a free Bigz™ Heart #3 die and a pair of Standard Cutting Pads.

“Quilters will be pleased with the precision and ease our steel-rule dies offer, as well as the modern and traditional quilts these designs will allow them to create," said Linda Nitzen, Sizzix Sales and Marketing Quilting Manager.

Sizzix®, the arts and crafts market pioneer and leader in die cutting machines, steel-rule dies and accessories, is pleased to announce the latest additions to its growing quilting line. The newest releases include the new Big Shot™ Fabric Starter Kit and 23 Bigz™ quilting and appliqué dies for its Big Shot™ and Big Shot Pro die cutting machines. The assortment will be revealed for retailers and designers alike at the International Quilt Market Fall 2013 Show at the George R. Brown Convention Center, October 26-28 in Houston, Tx.

Consumers can enjoy quilting from the start with the new Big Shot Fabric Starter Kit. Featuring a free Bigz™ Heart #3 die and a pair of Standard Cutting Pads, the Big Shot retails for $119.99 with a three-year limited warranty and will be carried in quilt stores nationwide starting in November.

“Our new Big Shot Starter Kit is a complete die cutting system that allows consumers to easily create beautiful quilting, appliqué, home décor and other projects,” said Susan Spiegel, Ellison’s Vice President, Marketing Communications. “Making cuts for quilting and sewing has never been this easy!”

Among the 23 new Bigz dies are Flower Layers, Hexagons, Rag Quilts and Rings, as well as designs from the Missouri Star Quilt Company and licensed designer Jorli Perine. Offered in standard, L, XL 25" and Pro sizes (exclusively for the Big Shot Pro Machine), Bigz dies are safely encased in rubber, with the steel-rule blade inside the die able to cut up to 8 layers of fabric at once.

Continuing the exciting Bigz offerings in this fall release is the 20 Bigz and Bigz Pro “Handmade for the Holidays” collection by Jorli. Stars, reindeers and polar bears await crafters in the ‘Classic Christmas Ornaments’ offerings. Owl, giraffe and pony designs from ‘Heartfelt Friends’ add the perfect holiday touch.

Also debuting at the show and as announced earlier this month, the fabi™ Personal Fabric Cutter joins the Sizzix family of quilting products. Made for the mass market and retailing at $119.99, the fabi is accompanied with a free Bigz Flower Layers #11 die, a pair of Standard Cutting Pads and a three-year limited warranty. The fabi will be complemented by 31 of the most popular Sizzix quilting dies, complete with new packaging that offers free patterns or projects with instructions, layout options and suggested companion products.

“We’re thrilled to continue providing quilting inspiration for our Sizzix consumers with our latest product launch,” said Linda Nitzen, Sizzix Sales and Marketing Quilting Manager. “Quilters will be pleased with the precision and ease our steel-rule dies offer, as well as the modern and traditional quilts these designs will allow them to create.”
