Online ski website Ski.co.uk has highlighted Borovets in Bulgaria as its 2013 top ski resort.

Borovets is the oldest and largest Alpine ski resort in Bulgaria, found in the pine forests among the Balkan Peninsula. The resort is found forty five miles from Sofia and usually features snow cover from mid December to April.
Ski.co.uk also advised: “The emergency ski patrol is available 24 hours a day, both ambulance and clinic are available although some services must be paid for by cash. Those with valid a valid ski insurance policy can then claim these costs back from the insurance company.”
