Details of the very latest blockbusters and biggest films for the whole family this Christmas on Sky TV - all in high definition.

London, United Kingdom (PRWEB) December 1, 2008 -- This Christmas, Sky Movies is offering viewers the biggest films - however they want to watch them. Highlights of Sky Movies' blockbusting festive schedule include the Christmas week premieres of Beowulf and Enchanted and the Christmas Day premiere of The Golden Compass - to watch a year before any other TV channel and all in high definition.

Infact, this Christmas Sky Movies will show the UK premieres of over 15 fantastic movies, also including Stardust, Transformers and Lion For Lambs which can be seen by Sky HD subscribers in spectacular high definition. With nine dedicated high definition movie channels now available on digital satellite, Sky Movies HD will offer hundreds of HD blockbusters in the run up to Christmas.

Plus Sky Box Office will be showcasing brand new titles including Indiana Jones and The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull on Christmas Day and Kung Fu Panda on New Year's Day. Other titles for December also include Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk and Wanted.

Sky Movies Action/Thriller/HD will be screening the entire Rocky saga back-to-back from 11:25 am on Boxing Day. Viewers will also have a chance to catch up on the first ten episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars showing as part of 10 day marathon on Sky Movies Family/HD from Christmas Eve.

And if you need a break from the relatives, Sky Movies subscribers can also see around 500 films at no extra cost via Sky Player. The service also offers Sky Box Office titles to download on a pay-per view basis. Plus check out Sky Anytime for early previews of some of this month's biggest films including Stardust from Thursday 11 December and Enchanted from Thursday 18 December.
