50 Ways to Improve Your Health in Less Than 5 Minutes
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) September 17, 2009
The Good Nite Lite, a parenting device created by Atlanta entrepreneur Adam Nelson, will be featured on national television September 18, 2009 on "The Doctors," distributed by CBS Television Distribution. The Good Nite Lite is a behavioral modification device designed to teach children the right time for bed at night and the appropriate time to get out of bed in the morning, using a glowing caricature face that changes from a moon to a sun at pre-set times. The product was chosen to be featured in an episode titled "50 Ways to Improve Your Health in Less Than 5 Minutes."
Now in its second season, "The Doctors" features four renowned physicians, Travis Stork, MD (ER Physician), Andrew Ordon, MD (Plastic Surgeon), Jim Sears, MD (Pediatrician), and Lisa Masterson, MD (OB/GYN), who weigh-in on different health issues every weekday to a national audience. The Friday, Sept. 18 episode "50 Ways to Improve Your Health in Less Than 5 Minutes," (WSB-TV ATL, 10 a.m.) features products and tips for everyday health - including the Good Nite Lite. The product was chosen as a favorite of the doctors - not as an advertiser or sponsor - and the entire audience will also receive a sample of the device.
The Good Nite Lite was chosen for its ability to help families with young kids get adequate sleep. Young children rely on the natural rise and fall of the sun to determine their schedules and, unfortunately, this is not the same schedule that parents and families keep. The Good Nite Lite is designed to reset a child's sleeping patterns by using a simple sun and moon approach - symbols that are easily understood by young children.
Good Nite Lite teaches children that, when the Sun caricature turns to the dimly lit Moon caricature, it is time for bed - even if the natural sun is still out. If the child awakes too early before the time that the parents have pre-set and still sees the Moon caricature, the child begins to understand that it is still time to stay in bed. At the pre-set time, the Good Nite Lite will brighten and display a cheerful Sun caricature, letting the child know that it is an acceptable time to get out of bed and begin the day.
The Good Nite Lite is available for $34.99 at Good Nite Lite.
