The addition of Linux is an example of where we have listened to our customers and responded
Dedham, MA (Vocus) February 18, 2010
Slingshot Software, a leading provider of web-based enterprise software solutions to mid to large sized companies, today announces added support for the Linux operating system and PostgresSQL database management system.
The addition of support for Linux and PostgresSQL now allows Slingshot to implement its applications on multiple platforms. Utilizing Mono, an open source implementation of Microsoft's .NET Framework, Slingshot Software will now be able to deliver its .NET applications to customers in a Linux environment.
“The addition of Linux is an example of where we have listened to our customers and responded,” said CEO Paul Carr. “It will provide our customers with more flexible deployment options and is consistent with our product development roadmap, which includes a Linux-based SaaS ERP offering scheduled for general availability in mid 2010.”
