It's quite difficult competing with a more established business for the same customer when you don't have a verifiable reputation, online customer reviews or testimonials from existing customers.
New York, NY (PRWEB) May 20, 2013
The National Association of Small Business Professionals announces the launch of its new Accredited Business Program, aimed at helping start-ups with twenty or fewer employees, to build marketplace trust and establish themselves as reputable sources for products and services within their communities.
The NASBP Accredited Business Program offers smaller companies a head start, by giving them the opportunity to open for business with an online accredited business profile on the NASBP's website and a fair and accurate letter grade rating.
Additional benefits of the program include:
•TRUE BLUE Business Rating. Added to assist new businesses with no online customer reviews, the rating signals the company's commitment to serve its customers with integrity, professionalism and customer service excellence.
•Buyer Dispute Resolution. Assists new businesses with sales conversion, by giving potential customers added assurance that making a purchase with a participant is safer.
•Promotional Tools. Video and photo uploads are included, as well as a company description tab.
•Trust Seals. A library consisting of 18 various online and printable versions is currently offered.
The launch of the program coincides with newly released information from a Thomson Reuters/PayNet report, indicating steady declines in small business borrowing for the first quarter as well as a rise of 1.6% in loan repayment delinquencies. Since traditionally small business borrowing pinpoints trends in planned capital investments and employment, the Thomson Reuters/PayNet Small Business Lending Index (SBLI) has historically been viewed by analysts as a reliable tool for forecasting future economic growth.
"Smaller businesses have very limited access to the funding they need to grow. We get that," said Kimberly Kelly, founder and spokesperson for the National Association of Small Business Professionals. "In addition, newer businesses always have to overcome the obstacle of being the underdog in the marketplace. It's quite difficult competing with a more established business for the same customer when you don't have a verifiable reputation, online customer reviews or testimonials from existing customers. We wanted to create a more level playing field in the marketplace, as well as providing consumers with the added peace of mind that small start-ups are also honest and trustworthy businesses serving the community."
In addition to championing the causes related to starting and succeeding as a small business owner, the NASBP also offers its members a full suite of free and low-cost success tools specifically for start-ups. These tools include the NASBP Marketing 911 Helpline, the Marketing ER and the Free Member Downloads Center.
