SmartWatt Energy Promotes Staff in National Grid Small Business Program and Marketing Department

SmartWatt Energy, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has promoted Kelsey Cummings, Megan Guilford, Mitch Tombs, and Gabe Hough. Kelsey Cummings was promoted to Marketing Associate II at the company’s corporate headquarters in Albany. Megan Guilford was promoted to Energy Sales Auditor and both Mitch Tombs and Gabe Hough were promoted to Senior Energy Sales Auditors, all at the company’s Syracuse, NY office.

SmartWatt Energy is a leading nationwide provider of turnkey energy efficiency solutions for commercial, industrial, government, and utility customers. The company has experienced growth in their National Grid Small Business Program recently, which has resulted in the promotion of current Sales Representatives and Energy Sales Auditors. Overall company growth has lead to the promotion of corporate staff as well.

Kelsey Cummings joined SmartWatt Energy’s team last year as an intern with both the Marketing and Human Resources departments. She was quickly offered a full-time position as a Marketing Associate I. As a Marketing Associate I, Kelsey was responsible for the research, drafting, and refinement of various marketing materials and outreach methods. In her new role as a Marketing Associate II, Kelsey will advise potential customers of new or additional services via direct mail, e-marketing, public relations, and marketing events. She will participate in all stages of the marketing process, including concept development and research.

Megan Guilford began her career with SmartWatt Energy last year as a Sales Representative at the company’s Syracuse office. In this role, Megan developed new customer relationships for the company’s utility based direct install lighting programs through prospecting, cold calling and effective follow-ups on sales leads. As an Energy Sales Auditor, Megan will be responsible for the sales, audit and design of lighting efficiency upgrades for Small Businesses.

Mitch Tombs joined SmartWatt Energy’s team last year as an Energy Sales Auditor. In this position, Mitch generated leads and proposals and audited and designed lighting efficiency upgrades in conjunction with the National Grid Small Business Program. As a Senior Energy Sales Auditor, Mitch will oversee mid-sized Commercial and Industrial projects, and will be responsible for specifying the best rebate option for each project.

Gabe Hough started his career with SmartWatt Energy two years ago as an Inside Sales Administrator, handling sales administrative tasks. The following year, he was promoted to the position of Energy Sales Auditor. As an Energy Sales Auditor, Gabe generated leads, conducted energy audits and recommended improvements for the National Grid Small Business Program. In his new role as a Senior Energy Sales Auditor, Gabe will manage mid-sized Commercial and Industrial projects.
