Scott Revare of Smart401k announced Scott Holsopple will assume the position of chief executive officer immediately. Revare co-founded Smart401k, along with Adam Bold of the nationally syndicated radio show “The Mutual Fund Show,” in 2003. Revare is moving from the position of CEO to chairman.

“We started this company to fill a need in the marketplace. Many retirement plan investors did not become investors by choice, but by accident. There was a need to provide professional investment advice at a reasonable cost to these individuals. We still share this goal,” Revare stated. “This is the right time for Scott Holsopple to step into the CEO position. We are ready for our next stage of growth and will look to Scott’s leadership to continue to guide the organization in the right direction.”

Holsopple joined Smart401k as president in August 2007, focusing on expanding the company’s institutional relationships and growing the educational resources Smart401k offers clients.

Holsopple will continue to focus on strategy for the retail business as well as drive direction and development of the institutional business. Holsopple is dedicated to moving planning and engagement to the forefront of the retirement investor's experience.

“Our goal is to continue to build a progressive, growth business. We need to help retirement investors understand how engagement in retirement planning will get them closer to their goals,” Holsopple said.
