2nd Annual Award Dedicated to Software Test Automation

Congratulations to SmartBear Software for providing a suite of tools that the community has clearly deemed worthy of recognition for its contributions to the automated testing discipline.

SmartBear Software today announced that its automated testing tool, TestComplete, and performance profiling tool, AQtime, are once again finalists in the 2nd Annual 2010 Automated Testing Institute (ATI) Honors.

According to the Automated Testing Institute, the ATI Automation Honors are the industry’s original set of awards dedicated to software test automation. It crowns the leading tools, resources and practitioners with automation’s top honor. The ATI Automation Honors awards rely on industry practitioners to identify which tools, resources and people are the best, which have the most significant upgrades and/or which are setting the trends that will help to take software test automation to the next level in the coming year.

TestComplete will be judged in the following two categories:

  •     Commercial Functional Automated Test Tool Finalists – Java
  •     Commercial Functional Automated Test Tool Finalists - Best Overall

TestComplete is an automated testing tool that lets you create, manage and run tests for any Windows, Web or Rich Client software. TestComplete 8.0, introduced over 120 new features and enhancements to improve the user experience for power users and beginners alike.

AQtime Pro will be judged in the following two categories:

  •     Commercial Performance Automated Test Tool Finalists - Web/HTTP(S)
  •     Commercial Performance Automated Test Tool Finalists - Best Overall

AQtime Pro is a performance profiling, memory and resource debugging toolset for 32- and 64-bit Windows, .NET and Java applications as well as VBScript and JScript code. AQtime 7.0 Pro added support for several additional development platforms and environments, including Microsoft .NET Framework 4.

Winners will be announced on October 25 via an online video presentation that will be posted on the ATI web site. Each winner and finalist will also be highlighted in a special issue of Automated Software Testing Magazine on November 1, 2010.
