After a successful 2012, during which Krome grew their revenues by 41%, a decision was made to review their current banking practices and introduce a more efficient and cost-effective solution to collecting client payments. Prior to contracting with SmartDebit, Krome were collecting their payments through the standard Direct Debit offering from their bank. This traditional paper-based service required Direct Debit mandates to be sent and returned to their growing client base before passing them on to their bank; a time consuming and administrative nightmare for their internal finance team.

Changing to SmartDebit removed a further management headache for Krome as they also moved to a new banking facility. Had they not transferred their payments to the SmartDebit system, they would have had to inform all of their clients, cancel existing Direct Debits, create new instructions with the client’s approval and return them to their new bank.
