The vision is of a holistic security network that will provide the situational awareness and actionable intelligence for appropriately handling the latest threats in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Smarter Security, Inc., provider of premium, innovative entrance control for lobby security and door security and outdoor security solutions, will take part in a panel discussion regarding the future of physical security at next week’s ISC West Conference and Exposition. At a conference presenting the latest physical and cyber security solutions, the panel session helps kick off the event with a cross-section of industry experts exploring the idea of a “Holistic Security Network.” Smarter Security also is exhibiting at the event in booth no. 4101.

David Curtiss, Director of Technology for Smarter Security, will sit on a panel session at ISC West entitled “The Holistic Security Network: A Future Envisioned.” In the session, happening Tuesday April 9 at 8:30am, the speakers will discuss the futuristic concept of a holistic security network for physical security, the challenges such a solution will solve, the hurdles in getting there, and more. Joining Curtiss on the panel will be Benjamin Butchko, President & CEO of Butchko Security Solutions, and Darin Dillon, Business Development Manager for Convergint Technologies, SDM magazine’s 2012 Systems Integrator of the Year. The panel will be moderated by Paul Everett, Senior Manager for IHS, a global information company that covers the security industry.

“Despite accelerated progress in security technologies over the last decade, security leaders still deal with challenges that limit their effectiveness and the success of their organizations,” said Curtiss. “IP systems and PSIM (Physical Security Information Management) are positive steps, but fall short of the promise of IP-networked security. The vision is of a holistic security network that will provide the situational awareness and actionable intelligence for appropriately handling the latest threats in an efficient and cost-effective manner.”

ISC West is happening in Las Vegas from April 9-12 at the Sands Expo Center. For registration and to learn more about the event visit http://www.iscwest.com. Smarter Security will have demonstrations of several Fastlane® optical turnstiles for lobby security and Door Detective® for advanced door security in booth no. 4101.
