We are excited that this product also allows us to reach a more price-sensitive segment of the building lobby security market which might not otherwise buy turnstiles.
Austin, TX (PRWEB) September 07, 2011
Smarter Security Systems, provider of premium, innovative entrance control and outdoor security solutions, today announced the availability of its Mini-Optical optical turnstile. With its small form factor, Mini-Optical is ideal not just for lobby security applications, but also to restrict access through corridors and hallways. The lower price point makes Mini-Optical an attractive option for buildings looking to automate access control on a smaller budget. Mini-Optical will be available to demo at ASIS in Orlando later this month.
Mini-Optical is a barrier-free turnstile that restricts access where security staff can respond by alarming unauthorized entry attempts. Microprocessor-based intelligence combines with infrared beams to discriminate between human traffic and inanimate object to minimize false alarms. At 4 inches wide by 8.4 inches long, Mini-Optical pedestals are the smallest among optical turnstiles on the market today. This small size is attractive for building lobbies to architects and end users alike. The compact size also allows Mini-Optical to be placed in hallways to secure passage ahead of sensitive areas such as SCIFs. An available floor protector simplifies hallway installation, and unlike others, Mini-Optical can be mounted to the walls of a hallway for a more elegant installation. LED indicator lights at the top and bottom of each pedestal clearly communicate the lane status to users and to security staff to assist in detaining intruders.
“We’ve had a number of customers inquire about using our Door Detective in hallways, and the Mini-Optical is designed to best meet this need,” said Jeff Brown, CEO of Smarter Security Systems. “We are excited that this product also allows us to reach a more price-sensitive segment of the building lobby security market which might not otherwise buy turnstiles. With Mini-Optical, they may be able to afford to make the move to optical turnstiles and don’t have to compromise on styling.”
Smarter Security Systems is in booth number 1651 at ASIS at the Orange Country Convention Center in Orlando, Florida from September 19-21. Mini-Optical is one of several non-barrier turnstiles offered by Smarter Security and will be available to demo along with a number of different styles of Fastlane speedgates and barrier arm turnstiles.
