According to a recent survey from Nielsen Online and WebVisible, Inc. local businesses and consumers are too often failing to connect, despite billions of local consumer dollars up for grabs. A full 82% of consumers use search to find local businesses -- yet less than half of all small businesses have a website. And only 9% of small businesses are satisfied with their online marketing efforts.

The May 14 webcast, sponsored by WebVisible and hosted by Search Marketing Now, is targeted at small and local businesses. Disa Johnson will present an introductory look at the elements that go into a successful search marketing campaign at the small business level.

Johnson, who founded the I-Search Forum in the late 1990s, is widely acknowledged as a top search-marketing expert and industry leader. She's a well-known speaker at industry conferences, and is currently president of SearchReturn, a fully moderated free email newsletter and digest of subscriber posts.

Search Marketing Now webcasts are live, online presentations delivered in a PowerPoint presentation and streaming audio. The webcast will last approximately 50 minutes, including a live Question and Answer session with the speaker. (Attendees may submit questions during the webcast.)Registration is still open and there is no charge for the webcast.
