To show its appreciation for men and women serving in the U.S. military, Wilderness at the Smokies now offers a rest and recuperation package specially created for military families. Now through mid-December, military families can relax, refresh and reconnect at Wilderness at the Smokies, the Southeast's newest and largest indoor and outdoor waterpark.

The "We Salute You" special for military families at Wilderness at the Smokies includes a two-night stay at the resort, passes for all of the indoor and outdoor waterpark attractions, two tickets to Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies in Gatlinburg, a free pizza and a two-liter bottle of Pepsi. This package would normally cost nearly $600, but military families will pay less than $300.

"We want our service men and women to know that we appreciate all they do for our country," said David McGregor, general manager at Wilderness at the Smokies. "We want to give them and their families a place to relax, enjoy each other and reconnect - and we know they'll have fun spending time together here at Wilderness at the Smokies."

Wilderness at the Smokies, located minutes from Interstate 40 and situated in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, is establishing a new standard for family vacations to East Tennessee. With two outdoor waterparks, a 60,000 square-foot indoor waterpark with a wave pool and surf rider, hot tubs, and countless waterslides and attractions, Wilderness at the Smokies has something for all age groups.

The developers of Wilderness at the Smokies are the owners of Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort - America's Largest Waterpark Resort in Wisconsin Dells. Some restrictions apply to the "We Salute You" package. For more information about the resort or to make reservations, visit http://www.wildernessatthesmokies.com or call 1-800-867-WILD (9453).
