Panel Session to Explore Blended Search; Theatre Presentation to Offer Tips for Optimizing Online News Releases for Search, SEO and Social Media

Blended search is an important concept because it represents multiple ways to obtain improved results in search beyond simply optimizing Web pages.

PRWeb, the online news distribution service of Vocus (NASDAQ: VOCS), announced today that it will speak on a panel session at the Search Marketing Expo (SMX) West trade show in Santa Clara, Calif.

PRWeb’s Director of Product Management, Jiyan Wei, will present on a panel session called “Universal & Blended Search Opportunities” along with four other panelists and moderators. The session, which is being held on March 3rd at 3:15 p.m., will cover how to optimize multiple types of “web assets” in addition to text-based Web content in order to gain more exposure on search results pages.

Separately, Wei will also provide an SMX theater presentation titled “Five Tips for Optimizing News Releases for Search, SEO and Social Media” beginning at 1:00 p.m., also on March 3rd. His SMX theater presentation will be held on the Expo Hall floor, where Wei will present case studies demonstrating how some successful online news releases have increased Web traffic by up to 50 percent and sometimes more.
