HireClix announces two new fall webinars: “Social Media and Hiring: Legal Considerations for Every Employer” and “Targeting Passive Candidates with LinkedIn Recruiting Solutions”

HireClix - Recruitment Marketing Agency

These webinars will empower recruiters to knock down the internal barriers to creating a social recruiting strategy.

ERE Expo Booth #304 – Today from the ERE Expo in Hollywood, Fla. HireClix, a digital recruitment marketing agency based in the Boston area, released its schedule of recruitment marketing webinars for fall 2011. The fall webinar series will include two new webinar topics that feature access to experts in the areas of digital recruitment marketing and legal hiring practices as they relate to the use of social media.

“Social Media and Hiring: Legal Considerations for Every Employer” hosted by HireClix CEO Neil Costa and employment attorney Renee M. Jackson, Esq. of Nixon Peabody LLP, will address the legal precautions companies should take as they employ social media channels to screen, recruit and connect with candidates. The presentation will highlight the opportunities to attract active and passive candidates via social recruiting and “how-to” advice on crafting internal policies and procedures to ensure the consistent and non-discriminatory use of social media during the recruitment and pre-employment phases of hiring. “Social Media and Hiring: Legal Considerations for Every Employer” will be held for the first time on Sept. 22, 2011 at 2 p.m. EST.

“While social media channels can be positive screening tools, learning too much information about a candidate could leave employers exposed to potential liability,” says Jackson. “Employers need not be scared away from social media because of these issues; rather, they should be prepared to address these emerging workplace issues and fully consider the use and misuse of social media starting at the pre-employment stage.”

“Our goal is to be a strategic adviser to our corporate recruiting clients and sometimes that includes analyzing the pitfalls of using new recruiting channels. We teamed up with Renee Jackson to educate the recruiting community about these issues from a legal perspective. This webinar will empower recruiters to knock down the internal barriers to creating a social recruiting strategy,” said Costa.

As an authorized reseller of the LinkedIn Corporate Recruiting solutions, HireClix will also debut its first webinar on how to integrate new LinkedIn tools into recruitment marketing campaigns and how they stack up compared to traditional job boards and other social media options. “Targeting Passive Candidates with LinkedIn Recruiting Solutions” will focus on how to use new products from LinkedIn that accelerate qualified job applications, raise employment brand awareness and leverage a company’s own employee base as a channel to connect with passive candidates.

Costa will address specific ways to utilize LinkedIn’s targeted advertising solutions, “Jobs for You”, “Work with Us” and highlight successful examples and results from a past LinkedIn recruitment advertising campaign. “Targeting Passive Candidates with LinkedIn Recruiting Solutions” will be held on Oct. 20, 2011 at 2 p.m. EST.

“The team at HireClix works with each of its clients to design custom recruitment marketing programs that drive high-quality candidates. More and more, we are finding LinkedIn’s innovative recruitment marketing tools, like ‘Work with Us’ recruitment ads, to be a top choice for companies who are competing for highly-talented professionals and focusing on increasing the return on their recruiting dollars,” says Costa.

The company’s most popular webinar, “Facebook Recruiting Strategies”, will also be held monthly through the end of the year with the next one hosted on Sept. 15 at 2 p.m. EST. Registration for all HireClix webinars is now open at
