Axle Digital, a leading social commerce innovator, has added to their sales team with the appointment of Rich D’Ambrise as Director of Sales, North America. Mr. D’Ambrise’s digital industry background includes more than 20 years of experience in sales, product and business development with Maxell Corporation. At Maxell, Mr. D’Ambrise was responsible for the company’s ground-floor development and introduction of new technologies and new product direction. In addition, D’Ambrise specialized in researching, growing and nurturing technology partnerships that aligned Maxell with ground breaking companies that changed the face of the consumer electronics industry.

D’Ambrise will be responsible for developing strategic partnerships with retailers across North America. He will be charged with pinpointing market trends, identifying new opportunities and will play a key role in the sales group at Axle Digital.

Prior to his tenure at Maxell, Mr. D’Ambrise spent 12 years as a technical consultant with both Wang Laboratories and ITT. He has authored numerous articles on digital content delivery, appearing in trade publications such as "Computer Technology Review" and "Imaging Magazine". He is a frequent guest speaker, and has participated in several international and domestic standards committees such as the International Committee for Information Technology Standards (INCITS), Blue-ray Disc Association (BDA), Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), DVD Forum, and he has also been a member of American National Standards Institute (ANSI), Optical Storage Technology Association (OSTA), Professional Computer Memory Card International Association (PCMCIA).
