Vitrue, the leading global social media management company, announced today the release of a free Agency API from its Vitrue Social Relationship Management (SRM) Platform which delivers powerful creative, publishing and application components all packaged for in-house deployment through an easy-to-use, web-based interface. The industry-leading Vitrue SRM platform’s three main components—Vitrue Tabs, Vitrue Publisher, and Vitrue Apps—together deliver a comprehensive, turnkey solution for agencies and brands to manage, measure and maximize value on social networks and across the web.

The Vitrue SRM is currently being used by more than 50 agencies, including leading independents like 22squared, MELT, Barefoot Proximity and Resource Interactive, as well as others in the Publicis, Interpublic, Omnicom and WPP families such as Ogilvy, Moxie, BBDO, Leo Burnett, Jack Morton and Tribal DDB.

The Vitrue SRM Platform is available free for agencies to test and develop social media initiatives for clients and prospects. License fees are only initiated when an agency launches a client implementation. To access the free Vitrue SRM for agencies, http://vitrue.com/agency-solutions.

Agencies can easily manage the Facebook Wall to create and deliver a custom brand experience using the Vitrue Agency API. Agencies can create their own custom Wall Apps and deliver any flash-based apps or content directly to the news feeds of their clients’ fans where reach is 110 times greater. Additional key enhancements to Vitrue Tabs include standard CSS integration and custom FBML, giving agencies a true CMS for managing tabs on Facebook. Vitrue Tabs also lets agencies include their own flash-based content, via the custom SWF app module.

“Agencies help build brands. Our tools help make those brands social,” said Reggie Bradford, CEO of Vitrue. “Agencies need a scalable and flexible platform that allows them to deliver on their creative ideas in a fast and iterative environment. Much like Adobe in the early ‘90s, we are putting the social software palette in the hands of creative experts and trusted brand stewards. By opening access to over 3,800 agencies globally, we will enable agency innovation across the social web.”

The Vitrue SRM Platform has managed nearly 200 million Facebook “fans” (connections), over 600 Pages across 47 countries; has created more than 34,000 posts, with 24 million clicks, 350,000 shares and 1.3 million audio/visual plays; and is moderating over one million posts and 13.1 million comments and likes. The Vitrue SRM Platform also serves roughly one quarter of the Top 100 brands as measured by Interbrand.

"Vitrue has tackled the challenge of managing the social web presence for big brands that have real-world issues like regional offices, local franchises and more," said John Bell, Managing Director for Ogilvy's 360 Digital Influence. "We are now managing ongoing conversations via these platforms and they continue to push their own products to make it easier for brands to act socially.”

“Tools like Vitrue’s SRM Platform allow us to harness the power of advocacy for our clients' brands,” said Richard Ward, president and CEO, 22squared. “With Vitrue as our strategic partner, we’ve been able to activate over four million fans for Baskin-Robbins, Buffalo Wild Wings, Florida’s Natural, Hard Rock and Shoe Carnival.”

“Working with the Vitrue Publisher tool enabled us to bring Coke Zero's Final Four Festivities to Facebook and Twitter " said Vince Thompson, President and CEO of MELT. "Together we executed an unprecedented cross promotion of the Coke Zero Countdown Concert using Vitrue Wall Apps to seamlessly serve customized creative to over 10 million fans/followers of our event partners. Each fan base received a series of integrated branded polls driving engagement and promotion of tune in to the live streaming event on Facebook including Coke Zero, Coke, Daughtry, Darius Rucker, Ryan Seacrest, as well as key Coke partners like Papa John's and the NCAA and CBS.”

Vitrue’s platform is fully compatible with Facebook’s rapid development cycles, allowing agencies to concentrate on their expertise and get social instantly without any barriers in terms of cost or technology expertise of Facebook’s standards and preferences. Facebook is a dynamic and ever-changing platform and agencies need a technology partner that not only can keep up with those changes but also can deliver a product that continually excels and maximizes those changes.
