SocialTyze is pleased to announce that Mateo Gutierrez and Jon Garfield have joined the company as its Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer, respectively.

Gutierrez has dedicated much of his twenty-year career to developing highly scalable Internet-based platforms that help companies build vibrant communities, most recently at Vocativ. There, he led the development of a social media platform that harnesses the power of citizen journalists to create the first news channel of its kind. Prior to Vocativ, Mateo led the Social Marketing efforts at Demand Media and was instrumental in developing product and marketing strategies at Electronic Arts.
Prior to joining SocialTyze, Garfield held a series of executive positions over the span of nearly twenty years. Most impressively, he was the Co-Founder at Coach USA where he helped grow the company from concept to a $1 billion company on the NYSE. He was also the CFO of Network IP where he helped build the company from start-up to over $200 million in revenue. Garfield started his career as an auditor at Pricewaterhouse Coopers and Arthur Andersen for seven years and as a controller at Maxxim Medical for six years.
