Softball cleat manufacturer, RINGOR, launches lightweight, custom fitting Diamond Gem spikes and cleats for women's fastpitch softball.

Softball cleat manufacturer, RINGOR®, recently released a new lightweight women's softball cleat line called the Diamond Gem™. The Diamond Gem features an all-new 2-tone upper design and is specifically styled and manufactured to be a high-performance women's shoe for the fast-paced sport of women's fastpitch softball. RINGOR offers the Diamond Gem in a women's metal spike as well as a women's non-metal TPU cleat.

Complimenting the rest of the RINGOR softball line, the Diamond Gem softball cleat features a leather upper with mesh paneling for a lighter weight and increased foot ventilation. The ventilated mesh paneling on the sides of the Diamond Gem features RINGOR's R-Tec™ water resistant treatment to assist in keeping moisture from entering the footwear. The Diamond Gem also has a 3M Scotchgard® coating to help the mesh material resist staining.

Another unique feature held by the Diamond Gem is a neoprene tongue, (Conform-X-Tongue™ or CXT™) that assists the athlete in achieving a custom fit by stretching and contracting with individual foot shapes.

As with all other RINGOR softball footwear, the Diamond Gem line features RINGOR's Ring-Grip™ Spike/Cleat pattern which is designed to cradle the "ball" of the athlete's foot to allow for greater stability, directional acceleration, comfort and safety from tripping and/or twisting injuries.

The Diamond Gem is currently available for purchase at RINGOR or through RINGOR Team Packages in four different color combinations: Red/White, Royal Blue/White, Black/White and Navy Blue/White. As with other RINGOR softball cleats, the Diamond Gem is also available with RINGOR's industry-first built-in protective pitching toe option, Pro-Tec-Toes™ (PTT™). Pro-Tec-Toes is a ridged protective rubber toe system manufactured onto the cleats during construction to assist in prolonging the life of the cleats due to excessive toe drag by pitchers and catchers.

RINGOR held a customer survey on its website during the summer months of 2008 to allow customers to select the name and to provide design feedback on the new cleat. Customers were given the opportunity to select from five existing name choices or to submit their own ideas, with the "Diamond Gem" the preferred choice. The design of the Diamond Gem was initiated by direct customer feedback, and RINGOR customers were provided with the opportunity to provide opinions about the features and construction of the shoe prior to its release.

RINGOR is a manufacturer of baseball and women's softball footwear, apparel, bags and accessories. The company, headquartered in Wilsonville, Oregon, was founded in 1983. RINGOR is a direct sales company, whose products are sold through its website, phone sales or through RINGOR's Team Sales department.
