Anahata Technologies Announces They Will Be Defaulting To JavaFX Over HTML 5 For Cross Platform Enterprise Software Development

Software company Anahata Technologies declares JavaFX as preferred cross platform technology choice for enterprise application development.

Pablo Rodriguez Pina, founder and co-director of the Perth (Australia) based software company Anahata Technologies Pty Ltd announced the company will use JavaFX as first choice for developing cross-platform enterprise applications.

The director stated: “We develop enterprise software applications for industries such as the educational, medical, government or mining. The architecture of our solutions is determined on a case to case basis depending on the system requirements, existing infrastructure, etc. With Java, we are able to reuse any of the code in our in-house libraries regardless of the tier and the deployment scenario. We are aware of the effort Oracle in collaboration with the Open Source community to bring JavaFX to mobile devices. If this effort is successful, Java could get the momentum it had at the time of the dotcom boom. We could be looking at Java’s second coming”.

He followed: “In my opinion, users of Enterprise Applications used desktop enabled devices such as PCs and Laptops. Desktop interfaces give users a better experience than HTML and Javascript based web applications. With a desktop interface, the application can have fine grained access to local resources such as the file system or the local network. Here in Australia, for example, Mac desktop and laptop computers are used in the medical industry to run patient record management applications such as Genie. When developing a solution for a customer in the medical industry, with JavaFX, we can reach the end user’s desktop in depth, launch new OS Processes, have fine grained thread and concurrency management and use a large set of existing libraries”
