Software company Anahata Technologies announces it will be defaulting to NetBeans 7.3 for the development of Enterprise Dekstop and Web based Software Applications

On Friday 15th Of February, Pablo Rodriguez Pina, co-founder and co-director of the Australian Based software company announced the company will be defaulting to NetBeans 7.3 IDE for the development of Web and Desktop Enterprise Software Applications.

In the words of Pablo Rodriguez: “Our technical lead has been testing NetBeans 7.3 RC1 and we are pleased to announce we will be adopting the GA version as soon as it is released.”

The director described the technical reasons for the choice: “We have been using earlier versions of NetBeans for developing Web and Desktop Enterprise Applications and we are very pleased with its usability, integration with other tools such as GlassFish, MySQL, Jira and Jenkins and its great support for Maven projects. Some of the features of the 7.3 version such as code completion in FXML files will definitely improve our development process.”

Moreover, he extended the reasons for the adoption of the IDE beyond the technical realm: “NetBeans is a great IDE for developing Java Applications with the latest standards of Java SE and Java EE. It has a vibrant open source community responding incredibly quick to issues we find and feature requests. Yesterday only, I raised an issue on NetBeans Bugzilla and I received an answer from an Oracle employee within 24 hours. A few years ago, we needed a maven plugin to develop Maven based enterprise application clients and in cooperation with two members of the netbeans community and a core maven developer we released the plugin. It was a great teamwork and I couldn’t have expected a faster turnaround. In summary NetBeans great technology with a great community behind. Our choice for Java IDE is easy.”
