stpsoft Pioneers Requirements Storyboarding for Microsoft® Visual Studio® 2005 Team System

"One of the strong benefits of this tool is that the rich information captured to build the mock-ups can be used to generate a series of design and testing documents. This ability and the native integration with Microsoft Visual Studio Team System increases the value of the storyboarding effort." Tom Bruns, Application Architect, Avanade (US)

Surrey, UK (PRWEB) September 14, 2006 -- stpsoft, the UK-based software requirements company, today announced the immediate availability of the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team System edition of its popular stpBA Storyboarding product, designed to facilitate the communication and validation of requirements in Team System projects based on agile or iterative methodologies.

stpBA Storyboarding already serves as a valuable productivity tool for analysts, helping them provide visual representations of requirements that are key in making development faster and better able to meet user's requirements. The move to support Team System broadens the visibility of storyboarding and facilitates collaboration, making this the first product to provide requirements based storyboarding and specification seamlessly within the Team System environment. Prices start at $850 for a single user license or $355 as an upgrade for existing stpBA Storyboarding users.

John Allwright, Visual Studio Product Manager at Microsoft UK adds, "We built Visual Studio Team System as an end-to-end Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) platform upon which our partners can build a broad range of solutions to suit customers' individual needs. stpsoft have successfully integrated stpBA Storyboarding into the VSTS platform and bring great benefit to both developers and businesses by ensuring that business requirements are faithfully realised in software being developed."

"Aside from the big picture of linking stakeholders more effectively to application development, user interface storyboarding can reduce requirements creep and rework far below industry averages creating a compelling ROI," comments Badr Khan, Projects Director of stpsoft. "The key driver for integration with VSTS was team collaboration. VSTS provides a robust collaboration platform, ensuring that developers are working with the most up to date information, as well as improving requirements based progress visibility for the project manager."
