Intelligent Software Solutions Awarded a One-Year, $35 Million Contract Supporting U.S. Forces

Intelligent Software Solutions has been awarded a 12 month, $35 million task on its Secure Information Access Analysis and Dissemination contract vehicle by the Air Force Research Laboratory.

(Vocus/PRWEB ) January 29, 2009 -- Intelligent Software Solutions has been awarded a 12 month, $35 million task on its Secure Information Access Analysis and Dissemination contract vehicle by the Air Force Research Laboratory. The company will perform a wide range of software support activities to United States forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as grow support to agencies across the Department of Defense and other government agencies. A major focus of this contract will be support to ISS' CIDNE or Combined Information Data Network Exchange program. With CIDNE, ISS provides commanders as well as leadership in the United States with a comprehensive view into the events of significance and overall status of ethno-sectarian violence in Iraq and Afghanistan. In addition to DoD support, this effort will assist the United States Department of Homeland Defense missions to protect the borders and ports of the United States.

The initial SIAAD vehicle awarded just over two years ago provides the government with a contract ceiling of nearly $200 million, and a five year ordering period. Since its initial award, the contract has been utilized to provide research and development as well as ongoing support to a vast array of government agencies. According to Kevin Moffatt, ISS Vice President, Combat Intelligence Systems, currently in Iraq, "ISS continues to strive to provide the finest in support to our forces in harms way.
