McGeough Lamacchia Realty is pleased to announce they have sold more homes and listed more homes for sale than any other agent or team in Massachusetts for the first 6 months of 2012. According to the MLS Property Information Network, Inc., from January 1 to June 30 of 2012, McGeough Lamacchia Realty sold 188 homes and listed 263 homes for sale in Massachusetts.

McGeough Lamacchia Realty says this is the best housing market they’ve seen in years. Record low mortgage rates, the low unemployment rate, and job growth numbers have added to home buyer confidence in 2012. The McGeough Lamacchia Housing Report for April showed home sales in Massachusetts increased for the fourth month in a row. Sales for single family homes in Massachusetts increased 22 percent compared to April 2011, and sales for single family homes in New Hampshire increased 29 percent.
McGeough Lamacchia Realty anticipated a busy year in real estate sales. In January, they hired more real estate agents to handle the increase in customers and dedicated more time to training the entire staff. In response to their growth, McGeough Lamacchia Realty also expanded their main office in Waltham by 1100 square feet to provide more space for customers and agents to conduct business. McGeough Lamacchia added another field specialist and company vehicle to be able to service more home sellers in Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire.

McGeough Lamacchia Realty sold a grand total of 216 homes in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island for the first six months of 2012. McGeough Lamacchia Realty also ranks sixth in Massachusetts for home sales volume for the first half of this year, with a total of $39,081,515 in volume.
