South Florida Destination: Ft. Lauderdale
The study revealed that 61.46 percent of travelers that look for Ft Lauderdale vacation rentals are also interested in comparing offers from other types of accommodations like hotels and bed and breakfasts. 28.78 percent were also interested in accommodations in nearby destinations like Sunrise, Dania, Lauderdale by the Sea, Hollywood, Plantation, Tamarac and others.
Ft. Lauderdale is a popular destination among couples as 30.75 percent of the inquiries requested were for parties of 2, while 30.49 percent were for families with kids, and 30.94 percent were requests for groups larger than 4 people.
Some 40.58 percent of travelers inquired for accommodations with 3 months in advance, 22.91 percent did it between 1 to two months in advance, and 34.70 percent 30 days prior to the arrival date.
South Florida Destination: Hutchinson Island
The study data reveals an interest in comparison shopping as 61.25 percent of the travelers interested in Hutchinson Island vacation rentals, were also interested in comparing offers from hotels and bed and breakfasts. Additionally, 11.25 percent were interested in receiving offers from nearby destinations such as Jensen Beach, Stuart, Port St Lucie and Indiantown.
Vacation planning with 3 or more months in advance accounts for 52.54 percent of the inquiries. While 24.74 percent planned their vacations within 30 days prior to arrival, and 20.33 percent planned their vacation 1-2 months in advance.
Hutchinson Island requests for family accommodations represented the 25.76 percent, 48.47 percent from couples looking for romantic getaways, and 16.27 percent are from larger groups with 4 or more adults and children.
South Florida Destination: Pompano Beach
Pompano Beach is a popular destination among couple, showing a 45.38 percent of the inquiries from parties of two, while 26.13 percent were from travelers with children, and big groups of more than 4 adults represented 20.92 percent of the total inquiries.
Pompano Beach visitors like to compare offers between different accommodation types, as 55.95 percent of the inquiries received accepted to receive offers from hotels and bed and breakfasts in addition to Pompano Beach vacation rentals. 6.74 percent requested offers from other destinations like Lauderdale by the Sea, Tamarac, Coral Springs, Hillsboro Beach, Deerfield Beach, Sunrise, Ft Lauderdale and others.

The majority, representing 39.41 percent, plan their vacations 3 or more months in advance, 31.12 percent of the vacation rental seekers start planning their vacations within 30 days prior to arrival, and 26.97 percent plan their vacation 1-2 months in advance.
Vero Beach requests for family accommodations represented the 38.83 percent. Next, 40.66 percent were from couples looking for romantic getaways, and 20.33 percent were from larger groups with 4 or more adults and children.
South Florida Destination: West Palm Beach
The studies on West Palm Beach show that travelers looking for West Palm Beach vacation rentals are interested in comparing prices between hotels, bed and breakfasts and vacation rentals. 61.56 percent of the travelers who inquired on multiple properties accepted to receive offers from the three types of lodgings at the same time.
Also, 23.12 percent were also interested in receiving offers from nearby destinations including Singer Island, Palm Beach Shores, Lake Worth, North Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Palm Beach and others.
