The Beacon Hotel is proud to be one of the first South Beach Hotels to launch its own community page created for the purpose of engaging employees, guests, and vendors in the Beacon Hotel community. Guests who visit this page can become fans of the Beacon Hotel on Facebook, add the Beacon on Myspace, follow the hotel’s postings on Twitter, or view the hotel’s community involvement videos on YouTube. Most importantly, guests are provided with the opportunity to contribute to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and World Vision.
Since 2005 the Beacon Hotel has been a leader amongst South Beach Hotels in making a difference in the local community. The Beacon has conducted activities that range from planting trees in Homestead for a Habitat for Humanity housing development, raising funds for Susan G. Komen for the cure through the hotel’s web site, or sponsoring children all over the world through World Vision. “We have been blessed over the years with tremendous success and giving back is not only our desire but our responsibility”, explains Elvis Taylor the General Manager. Through the launch of the Beacon Hotel community page the hotel’s management is looking forward to working alongside with customers and staff to execute great projects for the benefit of the community during the next twelve months. Innovative fundraisers for Habitat for Humanity and World Vision are currently in the works and will be launched within the next few months.
