The San Diego County Fair opened its gates last weekend, kicking off a summer of fun and entertainment for families living in or visiting the San Diego Area. Local Hotels and RV Campgrounds are preparing for the projected onslaught of visitors that arrive as a result of the month long fairground event.

Every Year we see a large increase in park traffic this time of year and 2010 is going to be no different

The 2010 San Diego County Fair promises to be one of the best yet. The theme of this year’s County Fair is “Taste the Fun” and there certainly is a lot to take in for visitors and locals alike. There are culinary displays where visitors can learn how to cook popular dishes, contests where professionals and amateurs can enter their dishes in for judging, and of course, all the traditional fair food you can handle.

This year’s San Diego County Fair runs from June 11 – July 5, but is closed on Mondays. Over the years, the fair has turned into not only a local event, but a national attraction as well, with countless visitors from across the state and country arriving to see the unique features that the fair has to offer. Where else can you get a magnificent view of the San Diego Harbor from high atop the Ferris wheel?

Hotels and RV Campgrounds near San Diego are preparing for the increased traffic to their facilities with the opening of the County Fair. “Every Year we see a large increase in park traffic this time of year and 2010 is going to be no different” said Randy Wright, Marketing Director for Colorado River Adventures RV Parks.

Typically the KQ Ranch RV Resort in Southern California sees higher traffic during the summer, but over the years, the month that the County Fair is open, the reservation requests jump even higher. The appeal of a summer vacation to San Diego, combined with the slow economy means that families are searching for cheaper ways to have fun in some of the top destinations and KQ Resort offers a perfect location, just minutes away from San Diego.

About the Company: This Southern California RV Park in Julian is nestled among the mountains overlooking San Diego. For a limited time, you can bring your family to camp at KQ Ranch for as little as 19.95 for three nights.
