SpareFoot, the online marketplace for self-storage, has been named the Best Place to Work in Central Texas among midsize employers.
SpareFoot was one of 20 finalists in the category for midsize employers—51 to 250 employees—in the Austin Business Journal’s annual Best Places to Work program. The Best Places to Work awards were handed out June 6 during a luncheon at the Renaissance Austin Hotel.
SpareFoot CEO Chuck Gordon said he’s “honored and overjoyed” that the company he co-founded has received this award.
“It means a lot to SpareFoot and to me personally,” Gordon said. “We spend a significant amount of time and energy trying to be an amazing place to work where our tight-knit group of brilliant people change the (storage) world every day. Winning the Best Places to Work in Central Texas award is proof that our efforts are paying off.”
In the Best Places to Work program, SpareFoot and other employers were evaluated on team effectiveness, retention risk, alignment with goals, people practices, individual contributions, manager effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, trust with co-workers, feeling valued and work engagement. Each category was measured by employee satisfaction through confidential surveys conducted by Quantum Workplace.
SpareFoot continues to seek great people to join its award-winning team. To check out the company’s job openings, visit http://www.sparefoot.com/jobs.html.
