Washington, NC (PRWEB) February 12, 2016
AssureVest Insurance Group, a locally owned insurance firm with offices serving Washington NC and the surrounding areas, is initiating a charity drive that will raise funds earmarked to purchase computers and software for Mrs. Harrison’s 2nd and 3rd grade special needs classes at John C. Tayloe Elementary School.
“My school is in a low-income area and has more than 60 2nd and 3rd graders with learning disabilities. A desktop computer with basic reading software will provide a resource to reinforce the reading instruction my students get daily,” explains Mrs. Harrison. The software in question is highly adaptable and can be used by a broad range of students with different needs and reading levels attending John C. Tayloe Elementary.
“Ensuring that all our children receive an effective education is the responsibility of everyone in our community,” says Ryan Whitford, owner and operator of AssureVest Insurance Group. “This charity drive will help improve outcomes for a large number of special needs children in Washington.”
Whitford and his team have already launched an online social media platform and an email awareness campaign to help publicize the charity drive. AssureVest Insurance will also be producing a feature on the Tayloe Elementary charity effort in an upcoming edition of “Our Hometown,” a monthly online magazine published by AssureVest: http://assurevestinsurance.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_41.
In addition to assisting special needs students at John C. Tayloe Elementary School, AssureVest Insurance Group has launched an ongoing community engagement program that will involve finding and supporting a new North Carolina charity every 60 days.
