EventPermits, an event marketing agency that specializes in special event permits, assisted the Unreal Candy company in the New York stop of the company’s promotional tour. The New York stop of the Easter Bunny Apology Tour took place on March 20, 2013 at Columbus Circle. The New York event featured “Easter Bunnies”—actors in bunny suits—holding signs that read “I’m Sorry” in apology for distributing candy full of “junk” on Easters past. The bunnies made it to Columbus circle on a double-decker bus, provided by P.R.omotion.com, that also had a banner that read “I’m Sorry.” The event featured sampling of Unreal Candy, which contains natural ingredients. For this event, EventPermits assisted by securing the necessary permits, including the Activity Permit and the Health Permit, and by coordinating the double-decker bus transport and event security.
“This was a great event for a great company,” said Event Manager Stella Fitzpatrick. “We were excited to have been involved and happy that it ran so smoothly.”
Unreal Candy is a candy company that makes candy that is free of corn syrup, preservatives, artificial coloring, artificial flavors, genetically modified ingredients and hydrogenated oils. The candy also contains less sugar, and more of the ingredients that make candy taste good, like cacao, caramel and peanuts. Unreal Candy contains more protein and fiber than other brands, and any dairy in the treats comes from pastured cows raised without antibiotics or added hormones. The candy company’s mission is to do all of this affordably enough so that the candy can be sold at the same price as regular candy; the mission was not to create an expensive candy for the health food aisle, but to change the way “normal” candy is made.
EventPermits cuts through the red tape of the special event process, working as a behind-the-scenes support team, exclusively with, and on behalf of their advertising, public relations and event marketing agency clients, in order to secure prime locations and the necessary permits for successful special events from coast to coast. Based in Hoboken, New Jersey and the New York City metro area, EventPermits also has fully staffed offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, New Orleans, San Francisco and Toronto.
