Spencer Streetman worked for Bakers’ Best cafe in Newton as a sous chef creating a wide variety of dishes, including all-natural hand-carved turkey, chicken and grape salads, various soups, as well as baked goods, but after the cafe decided to close its doors, Spencer Streetman searched for other culinary endeavors.
“It was difficult to start afresh, but that’s the nature of the business; you have to be able to pick up and move,” said Spencer Streetman, 30, of Newton.
It wasn’t long until Spencer Streetman was hired by Stephi’s on Tremont, a relatively new restaurant in the Boston South End. The restaurant offers comfort food specials, a 3-course early dinner prix-fixe, and a children's menu.
“Cooking is my passion and I’m fortunate that I am able to work at Stephi’s On Tremont. It is a relatively new, popular restaurant that attracts a diverse crowd,” Spencer Streetman said.
Spencer Streetman recently marked his eight-year milestone in the culinary business. His experience consists of cooking for an assortment of venues, including private catering for large upscale banquets as well as catering for university and individuals’ events. He has also worked for the Harvard Club of Boston and for the Rhode Island Country Club.
“I have worked in different places around the Boston area so my experience is broad; I’m excited to offer my personal touch to the customers at Stephi’s on Tremont,” Spencer Streetman said.
